Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes the policies and procedures of mjboss ("the Bot", "We", "Us", or "Our") on the collection, use, and storage of your information when you interact with our Discord bot. By using the Bot, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Interpretation and Definitions

Interpretation

The words whose initial letters are capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Definitions

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy:

  • Bot refers to mjboss, the Discord bot provided by s7technologies, accessible via Discord.

  • Company (referred to as either "the Company", "We", "Us", or "Our") refers to s7technologies, operating the Bot at mjboss.s7technologies.com.

  • Country refers to: Michigan, United States.

  • Discord refers to the Discord platform operated by Discord Inc., through which the Bot is accessed.

  • Guild refers to a Discord server in which the Bot has been added and is in use.

  • Feedback Data refers to reaction-based feedback (👍 or 👎) collected approximately one minute after the Bot generates a response, used to evaluate and improve the quality of the Service.

  • Interaction Data refers to data collected when you use the Bot, including both message-based commands and slash commands.

  • Personal Data (or "Personal Information") is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual.

  • Service refers to the Bot.

  • You means the individual accessing or using the Bot on Discord.

Agreement to This Policy

By interacting with the Bot for the first time (for example, by mentioning the Bot or using a slash command), you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please refrain from using the Bot.

Data We Collect

We collect data only when you directly interact with the Bot. We do not passively monitor conversations or collect data outside of explicit interactions.

Message-Based Commands

When you interact with the Bot using a mention-based command (e.g., @mjboss What time is it?), we collect the following:

  • Your Discord User ID
  • Your Discord username
  • The Guild (server) ID where the interaction occurred
  • The timestamp of the command
  • The message content (your command and any accompanying text)
  • Any image attached to the message, if applicable

Slash Commands

When you use a slash command with the Bot, we collect the following:

  • Your Discord User ID
  • The Guild (server) ID where the interaction occurred
  • The timestamp of the command
  • The slash command name and any options or parameters provided

Feedback Data

After the Bot generates a response to a mention-based command, we collect reaction-based feedback approximately one minute later. Specifically, we record whether you reacted with a thumbs up (👍) or thumbs down (👎) to the Bot's response. Feedback Data is anonymous — it is recorded only in relation to the original interaction it belongs to and is not used to build a profile on you or track your behavior beyond that individual interaction. When feedback is collected, we record:

  • The reaction given (👍 or 👎)
  • A reference to the original interaction the feedback corresponds to

Feedback is collected solely to evaluate and improve the quality and accuracy of the Bot's responses. You are not required to react — the absence of a reaction is not recorded.

How We Use Your Data

We use the data collected for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain the Bot: To respond to your commands, analyze usage patterns, and ensure the Bot functions correctly.
  • To improve and develop the Bot: To understand how features are used, develop new features, and conduct research to improve the Service. Feedback Data (👍/👎 reactions) is used specifically to evaluate response quality and guide improvements.
  • To communicate with you: To respond to your questions and send information about changes or improvements to the Service.

Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer your Personal Data to third parties. Your data is used exclusively by s7technologies for the purposes described in this policy and is never shared with external parties for advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.

Please note that your use of the Bot is also subject to Discord's Privacy Policy, as Discord independently processes data related to your account and activity on their platform.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your data for as long as you continue to use the Bot. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us via Discord or by emailing us at [email protected]. Upon receiving a verified deletion request, we will remove your Personal Data from our systems.

Please note that in limited circumstances, residual copies of data may remain in encrypted backups for a short period before being purged in accordance with our backup schedule.

Security

The security of your data is important to us. We use commercially reasonable measures to protect your information. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The Bot is not directed at anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Discord's own Terms of Service require users to be at least 13 years old to use their platform. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us so we can remove it promptly.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above. Where appropriate, we may also provide notice through Discord.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the Bot after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
