Terms of Service

This Terms of Service Agreement (the "Agreement") is entered into between s7technologies ("Bot Owner", "We", "Us", or "Our") and the user ("User", "You") of the mjboss Discord bot (the "Bot"), accessible via Discord and at mjboss.s7technologies.com.

By using the Bot for the first time — for example, by mentioning the Bot or using a slash command — You will be prompted to accept or decline this Agreement. You must explicitly accept these terms before the Bot will respond to your interactions. If You decline, You will not be able to use the Bot until You accept. If You do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using the Bot.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Bot, in accordance with Discord's Terms of Service. By accepting this Agreement, You represent and warrant that You meet this age requirement. If We become aware that a User is under 13, We will immediately restrict their access and remove any associated data.

2. Use of the Bot

We grant You a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the Bot for personal or non-commercial purposes in accordance with this Agreement and all applicable laws.

3. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the Bot for any illegal, harmful, or abusive activity. Without limiting the foregoing, You specifically agree not to:

  • Use the Bot in any way that violates applicable laws, rules, or regulations, or infringes upon the rights of any third party.
  • Use the Bot for any commercial purposes without the express written consent of the Bot Owner.
  • Automatically or programmatically extract data or Output (as defined in Section 4 below) from the Bot.
  • Represent that Output was human-generated when it was not.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Bot or its underlying services, including circumventing any rate limits, restrictions, protective measures, or safety mitigations.
  • Copy, modify, reverse engineer, or distribute the Bot or any portion thereof without the express written consent of the Bot Owner.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or networks associated with the Bot.
  • Use the Bot to harass, harm, or abuse other users or third parties.

4. AI-Generated Output

"Output" refers to any content generated by the Bot in response to your interactions. For example, if you send:

@mjboss What time is it?
→ It is 9:10 AM in UTC-5

The Bot's reply is considered Output. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Output may be incomplete, incorrect, or occasionally offensive. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or appropriateness of any Output.
  • If Output references any third-party products, services, or entities, this does not imply endorsement or affiliation with those parties.
  • You are responsible for evaluating Output for accuracy and appropriateness for your use case, including using human review where appropriate, before using or sharing Output.
  • Output should not be relied upon as a sole source of truth, factual information, or as a substitute for professional advice (legal, medical, financial, or otherwise).

5. No Payments or Billing

The Bot is currently provided free of charge. There are no subscription fees, usage charges, or billing associated with using the Bot. We reserve the right to introduce pricing in the future, in which case We will update this Agreement and provide reasonable notice.

6. Intellectual Property

The Bot and all associated intellectual property rights are and shall remain the property of the Bot Owner. Nothing in this Agreement transfers any ownership rights to You.

7. Modifications to the Bot

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Bot at any time and for any reason, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to You or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuance.

8. Privacy

Your use of the Bot is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into this Agreement by reference. By accepting these terms, You also acknowledge and agree to the Privacy Policy. Additionally, your use of Discord is subject to Discord's Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Bot Owner shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Bot, including but not limited to damages for loss of profits, loss of data, or other intangible losses.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Bot Owner, its affiliates, and their respective directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of your use of the Bot or your violation of this Agreement.

11. Termination & Bans

This Agreement may be terminated by either party at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or revoke your access to the Bot at our discretion, including for violations of this Agreement. Upon termination, You must immediately cease all use of the Bot.

If You engage in any Prohibited Activity as described in Section 3, We may issue a ban restricting your access to the Bot. Upon being banned:

  • You will receive a single warning message informing you that you have violated these Terms of Service.
  • You will immediately lose access to all Bot functionality. The Bot will not respond to any of your interactions for the duration of the ban.
  • Bans are applied at the discretion of the Bot Owner and may be permanent or temporary depending on the severity of the violation.

If You believe a ban was issued in error, you may contact us at [email protected] to appeal.

12. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, United States. Any dispute arising under or in connection with this Agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules.

13. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Agreement on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above. Where appropriate, We may also provide notice through Discord. Continued use of the Bot after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Agreement.

14. Entire Agreement

This Agreement, together with the Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements or representations, whether written or oral, relating to the Bot.
